Solid Rock Ministries
From Adults to Kids and everything between, we have a ministry
for you to be involved in at Solid Rock.
Solid Rock Café takes place every Wednesday Night in our main sanctuary from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Our desire is to lessen the stress level of busy families by providing a catered meal in a casual setting. The evening includes a full meal (at a nominal fee) followed by a time of worship and teaching from the Bible. It’s a relaxed environment where you can easily introduce yourself to other people and form new friendships. Dinner for infants through 12th graders is simultaneously provided in designated locations throughout our campus. Although we do ask our regular attendees to make paid reservations, your first time at Café is FREE OF CHARGE.
Where the fire of God forms teenagers to be a solid rock! SOLID ROCK STUDENT MINISTRIES is more than just a modern worship service designed for middle and high school students. It’s a lifestyle. Students involved at SOLID ROCK STUDENT MINISTRIES are challenged each week to worship God, invest in relationships through small groups, find a ministry in which to serve, and engage the world through their witness. Solid Rock loves youth ministry and has invested in a state-of-the-art Student Building that allows us to minister on a higher level! If parents are eating at Café, a meal ticket can also be reserved for their student(s). Due to space limitations we insist that only adults eat in the sanctuary. Students can receive a Café meal “to go” which can be picked up at the kitchen in the main building. The student can then bring the meal to the Student Building to eat.
Led by WTVM news anchor, Jason Dennis, and his wife, Shana, Solid Rock’s ministry to young couples is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship for fun! Childcare is typically provided, as young couples get together once a month for activities such as movie nights, game nights, potlucks, and more! What do we consider young? Well, only you can judge how young you feel, but if you’re over 39 then we draw the line…and let you be forty-fied!
KidzRock Children’s Ministry is designed with kids in mind. We know that God loves kids and has great plans for each of their lives. Our mission is to provide a rock solid foundation for children. Children’s Church is provided for children in grades K5-5 during each Sunday Morning Celebration. While at KidzRock, children will get set for life through exciting praise and worship, adventures with a variety of characters, and memorable Bible lessons. Solid Rock believes that kids can do amazing things for God and their world. Your children will love to rock with us each Sunday
Definition of “prime-timer”: 1) a person who appreciates good friends and good food, 2) a person over the age of 55, and 3) a person who still has some get-up-and-go. If you fit these descriptions, then you’ll find yourself at home during any Prime-timers event that we host throughout the year. Whether it’s a get-together around food, or it’s a road trip on the bus, there’s plenty of fun left to be had. Join us for friends, food and fellowship!
BedRock nursery is designed to provide a safe and secure environment where your children can experience God’s love. Our loving and carefully screened team provides a variety of age-appropriate, hands-on activities in our easy-to-locate nursery. Our modernized fingerprint-based check-in system affords you peace-of-mind while you worship.
BedRock is available for all infants through children 4 years of age. Our nursery staff is fully operational during our Sunday Morning Services and Wednesday Night Café.
Oasis is no ordinary After School Program! We pride ourselves in offering each child an environment where they can be themselves and their unique creativity is free to flow. We do everything we can to make sure that your child’s imagination will thrive in everyday games, drama, creative writing, art, and many other electives.
Men of Steel, who are our adult men, come together on a quarterly basis for a time of fellowship with a wide variety of focus. At times our men may gather to go fishing, hunting or they may have a guest speaker. Steel Ministries also host a men’s bible study called “Encouragement” which follows our Life Group Semester Schedule.
Life Groups are the main artery to which we journey life together. We follow a semester schedule which is February through May and September through December. Our registration months are August and January and our off months are June through July. We have a plethora of Life Groups to select from. We have Interest Groups such as motorcycling and jogging, while we also have bible studies and topical studies. Life Groups are our support groups and our discipleship growth paths.
